KAJIKI Sushi & Izakaya: Reviews & Ratings
The sushi and sashimi quality was absolutely incredible — they literally melted in my mouth and everything was super fresh. Every single dish was delicious, and even the ramen was perfect The place is new, spotless, and has such a nice vibe. The staff were all incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. It’s been a while since I’ve found a place where everything was on point. 1000% recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- can’t wait to come back!
I was delighted to have dinner at my friend’s newly opened restaurant today. The ingredients were very fresh, the dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere. It’s definitely a place worth sharing and recommending.
Looks to be newly opened. Not many options for Japanese food in the area, and this hit the spot! We came during happy hour, although mainly basic items, it was well priced. The sushi rolls themselves were fairly small and rice a bit too mushy, but the quality of the fish itself was good. Nigiri was better, and the scallop sashimi was generous in size and fresh tasting. Standout item for us was the real crab mentaiko pasta, it was well seasoned and had a good portion of crabmeat and veg. I would recommend trying it. Chicken karaage was well done and the sauce was very yummy. We also ordered tempura broccoli which was a generous portion, but the batter was a bit undercooked on the bigger pieces. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and value, and we would likely go back again. Ambiance was nice and bright, many seating options and family friendly.
Kajiki Ramen I had a great time coming here and enjoying some of the plates they prepared, I’m quite happy with the service as well as the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall the food was the best part, the taste was there and the plates looked quite nice. I suggest more people try this place out as it is a nice little gem in west-springs. In depth analysis below. Thank you:) Ramen (Black Garlic) creamy Good noodles (taste tiniest bit floury ) Maybe cut the egg in half Great taste Good portion size Flavourful Beautiful presentation Takoyaki good portion size Great consistency Little sweet Dumplings warm Great consistency Soft but a nice snap/crunch Fatty but well balanced with vinegar Tasty, good pork mix slightly oily Sushi (Salmon) 0 soy sauce needed:) Great rice Great presentation Creamy Slightly small portion Dragon Roll delicate taste Good mouth feel Not fatty at all :) Slightly small portion Service kind Not pushy at all Helpful Beer great pour, good price Restaurant Great vibe With the windows down I forgot I was in west-springs Good lighting Open kitchen :)
Me and girlfriends recently visited this sushi restaurant and was really impressed. The fish was incredibly fresh, and every roll was beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing — perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. Highly recommend trying their salmon sashimi and the chef’s special rolls!
The food is ok, the tempura fried broccoli and tempura shrimp is ok, seems to be frozen then fried leading to a weird flat shape, they are also quite greasy. The chicken Karrage has a good balance of chicken to seasoning but is very greasy. However the sushi and tuna are quite fresh although the rice is sticky. The aesthetics of the restaurant are quite warm and cozy, it's also clean because it's a new restaurant. Would come here again for the cheap prices compared to other restaurants which makes it worth it. Staff seem nice
Absolutely loved my experience at this Japanese restaurant! The food is delicious, with incredibly fresh sashimi. The delicate ambiance, adorned with Japanese elements, adds to the charm. The staff were nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!
West Spring has been lacking a decent sushi and izakaya for quite some time. When I saw Kajiki was opened, I wanted to try it out. Sushi and sashimi - Fish was fresh and tasty. The negi bluefin was a perfect balance of tuna and green onions. The Sashimi was good. The nigiri set was delicious and presentation was on par Tempura - light batter and crispy just how it should be. Will definitely come back again to try out the other options.
